The experience I wanted for Swelldone was to give the player unlimited access to explore open water and let the waves take you wherever you want to go. " Swelldone is a paddling game that's designed from the start to be an open-world experience with a focus on downwind surfing. It almost makes me angry to watch you guys waste it.Swelldone is an indie game produced and developed by Wyatt Wong. You can estimate this from stroke count and stroke power. One simple thing would be a calorie counter as the power exerted on a machine is the most accurate way to determine calorie use. Sadly the analytics are minimal with no trend comparison heart rate zone analysis or general insight given. This is a service you could sell a subscription for. You should be striving to be the Strava or peloton of rowing machines with your app. You guys have the opportunity to do a lot here. A mobile app contractor could fix this fast, but the app looks like some CS majors sophomore project that got a C. UI is not up to modern design standards. Sometimes multi phase workouts get split if the monitor resets. An easy fix would be to add a start workout button in the app and then you would be safe in the knowledge that all activities are being uploaded. App seems to lose workouts sometimes I’m not sure how.

There are no data elements that couldn’t be displayed in portrait mode and argue some would look better in portrait (the logbook screen and settings) It’s very jarring to have your phone pop into landscape and be stuck there. All of that leads to frustration when hands are sweaty and muscles engaged from a workout, in on the midst of one.Īpple Watch integration of heart rate data would be a nice to have in a future release, as would additional Apple Watch features.įor specifics there are a lot of little things wrong Instead it is buried and difficult to interact with in the UI.

These intuitive design (non) choices are just a few examples of why users say this app is stuck in the past.īecause Bluetooth connection is the primary connection to a PM5 with said capability, this feature should be prominent. When not not connected to an erg via Bluetooth, the layout should switch to portrait to present and interact with data. It is impossible to create an account in-app for example - solely because Input in landscape mode is hindered. The landscape mode in particular keeps this from being an app that is more useful. From a user experience, the ease of connecting via Bluetooth and the landscape limitation needs significant improvement.

Works well as a tracker, leaves much on the tableĪs others have mentioned, the app does well at what it says it will do: namely track and upload workouts. There are some things about Concept2's LogCard that ErgData does NOT do: Displays your workout information on a color, backlit screen. Collects heart rate information from PM4 or PM5 when the PM4 or PM5 is connected to a heart rate measuring device. Allows you to view different units on your monitor and iOS device (for example, you can display watts on the iPhone while viewing average pace on the monitor). Saves heart rate, Calories and basic workout data. Syncs workouts with the Concept2 Online Logbook. (Suggestion: Do not use LogCard with ErgData or this feature will not work) Replaces your LogCard: ErgData logs all your workouts, including intervals, splits and heart rate information.
